The Best Christmas Markets & Destinations in Cornwall
Wondering where to visit in Cornwall this Christmas? Here are some recommendations:
Mousehole
While they don’t offer a Christmas market proper, Mousehole is home to an amazing display of Christmas lights that are a classic Christmas must-do in Cornwall.
The Mousehole Harbour Lights are a local tradition that have lit up the Cornwall Christmas scene for over five decades, usually attracting upwards of 30,000 visitors during its three week stint.
Of course, besides beautiful lights, Mousehole is one of the most charming little villages in Cornwall. Our insider tip? Head to Hole Foods for a fantastic hot chocolate with an even better view.
Truro
As Cornwall’s only ‘city’, you can expect Truro to have plenty going on during the festive season, and indeed it does.
If you’re looking for the best Cornwall Christmas market destination, then Truro would be it, with both the Made in Cornwall Christmas Fair and the famous Winter Gift Fayre at Lemon Quay taking place here.
At the latter, you’ll find over 80 exhibitors selling handmade gifts, along with a fine assortment of local Cornish fare to snack on while you shop. I mean, they don’t call it Cornwall’s Premier Christmas Market for nothing!

The Eden Project
Billing itself as “Cornwall’s most vibrant Christmas Fair”, the Cornwall Christmas Fair will be taking place at the Eden Project for two days only this winter, making this major Cornish attraction a must-visit for the Christmas season.
Besides the Christmas Fair however, visitors can also expect the usual Eden Project Christmas offerings, including a large skating rink, beautiful festive illuminations, and of course, visits from Father Christmas himself.
Fowey
Lastly, while the Fowey Christmas Market itself only lasts a weekend, this lovely town is one of our favourites in all of Cornwall, and well worth a visit during Christmas time.
The annual Fowey Christmas Market features almost 200 regional traders with stalls spread throughout town, from Fowey Town Quay and Albert Quay, to Webb Street and Fowey Town Hall.
Our insider tip? Make a stop at the adorable Lifebuoy Cafe while you’re in town – their decor is charming, the service warm, and the food oh so tasty!
