With a city-wide light festival that illuminates its most historic facades, Europe’s longest ice skating rink, and of course, the German-style Florence Christmas Market at Piazza Santa Croce, Florence is a true delight to visit during the festive season.

Florence Christmas Market & Event Dates 2024

There will also be other markets as well, but we have not yet found any official confirmation of their dates.
Florence Christmas Market & Event Locations
You can typically find Christmas market stalls and festive installations in Florence at the following locations:
- Piazza Santa Croce
- Piazza del Duomo
- Giardino della Fortezza (where there will be Europe’s longest ice skating rink)
- Giardino del Tuscany Hall (where they will be hosting Florence Winter Park)
- Palazzo Corsini (where they will be hosting the Mercato Nataleperfile)
There will also be the F-Light Festival returning again this year throughout the winter season, meaning many of Florence’s most historic facades and attractions will be illuminated with a dazzling light show after sunset… including on the famous Ponte Vecchio.
