NOTE: Most Christmas markets don’t announce their confirmed dates until a few months before, so please excuse the sparse list for the time being! We’ll be sure to update this list with more dates as soon as they are released. Let us know in the comments if you know of any we should add for 2024!
Italy Christmas Market Opening Dates 2024
As of September 2024, only the dates for some of Italy’s largest Christmas markets have been announced. We will update this page as we learn more.
But for now, here is a table summarizing the opening dates of 2024 Italy Christmas markets that we know of so far.
NOTE: For Christmas markets in the northern parts of Italy where German is widely spoken, we’ve provided the location names in both Italian and German, as both appear in promotional materials depending on which language you’re browsing in. In the case of cities with famous English names, we have included those with the Italian names in brackets.

Please can you confirm the Christmas market dates for Bologna , Civitanova and Assisi
Hi Hala, we have not yet been able to find any official dates for those events. We assume organizers are waiting until closer to the festive period to make a final decision, dependent on how cases/numbers develop. We will be sure to update this post when we hear more!
Verona’s Christmas Market opens tomorrow, November 12 and runs through December 26.
